 | Genuine desire to help others
|
 | Complete necessary training*
|
 | Willingness to commit to 6 months service
|
 | Respect confidentiality of clients
|
 | Criminal background check
|
*Training varies for each volunteer position

Training:
|
The type and amount of
training that is required of each volunteer is dependent on what type
of work the volunteer wishes to do in the agency. The following
are the training requirements for the different types of volunteers
within the agency:

 | Volunteers/Interns of any age
who are assisting with clerical/computer work, marketing, cleaning,
house maintenance, or any other project that does not
include working with clients of any SAFE Haven program must complete
the following requirement:
 | Read the Volunteer Manual and sign the
Agreement of Compliance form associated with it. This form
will be placed in his/her volunteer file.

 | Adult Volunteers/Interns
(18 and older) who are assisting with any SAFE Haven program, and
who will be having contact with program clients must complete the
following requirements:
|
 | Peer Helpers are
youth who are interested in volunteering for any SAFE Haven program
where they will have contact with the program clients. These
youth volunteers must complete the following training before they
will be allowed to volunteer with any SAFE Haven program:
